Although steel mills have reduced production, supply remains high; At the same time, due to the recent rainstorm in East China and South China, the demand for finished products is average.

Hot rolled coils: On September 8th, the average price of 4.75mm hot rolled coils in 24 major cities across the country was 3432 yuan/ton, unchanged from the previous trading day. With the end of important activities, both upstream and downstream industries will gradually resume production, but the speed of recovery in the manufacturing industry is still relatively slow.

Cold rolled coils: On September 8th, the average price of 1.0mm cold coils in 24 major cities across the country was 3946 yuan/ton, an increase of 1 yuan/ton from the previous trading day. According to feedback from some traders in the southwest, although it has entered September, the increase in market demand is not significant, and most traders' transactions are not smooth. In order to maintain shipments, most traders have room for a slight decrease in quotes, and overall transactions on the 8th were average. In terms of the market, the cold rolling production efficiency of steel mills is still acceptable.

Medium thick plate: On September 8th, the average price of 20mm ordinary plate in 24 major cities across the country was 3534 yuan/ton, an increase of 2 yuan/ton from the previous trading day. In terms of resources, taking East China as an example, there are not many goods arriving at the market on weekends, and only a small amount of resources from Pinggang are in stock, resulting in sustained low inventory. The main medium plate factories in East China have better acceptance of orders for various types of plates, and secondly, steel mills tend to lock in order resources, with frequent discounts on contracted resources.
